These are a few of my favorite beauty items right now!
Glow Recipe Pink Juice Moisturizer:
What is it? A daily moisturizing serum.
How I use it: I use it daily on my face, neck and decollete to moisturize.
Why I like it: It is lightweight, feels great going on the skin and smells just like watermelon!
Cost: $40
Farsali Jelly Beam Illuminator:
What is it? A highlighter, in jelly form.
How I use it: I use it as a highlighter for my cheeks, temple, nose, Cupid’s bow, and chin, (you can also mix with foundation and use on other parts of your body).
Why I like it: It is versatile; you can wear it as a highlighter, or you can layer it with other highlighters. It is very buildable, and I like the jelly consistency. It goes on smooth and is subtle and dewy. I use my fingers to apply.
Cost: $40
Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner:
What is it? A toner that hydrates and softens the skin, before moisturizing and applying makeup.
How I use it: I use it daily; after I have cleaned my face, I apply the toner with a cotton ball before I do anything else.
Why I like it: This toner is refreshing and smells amazing. It’s like a drink of rose water for your face. It is also great for removing excess makeup leftover after cleansing. I consider Rose the “pre-game,” before the rest. It is also a “Best Of Beauty” recipient by Allure.
Cost: $44
Farsali Unicorn Essence:
What is it? A skin-enhancing hydration serum.
How I use it: I use it before foundation application.
Why I like it: I love the way it makes my skin feel! The silky smooth formula is perfect for prepping for makeup. My skin glows and feels hydrated once it’s applied and my foundation goes on smooth!
Cost: Travel size, $20. Regular size, $35.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
What is it? A black long-wear liquid liner.
How I use it: I use it as eyeliner by itself or over my eyeshadow. It creates a pretty kick-butt cat eye.
Why I like it: Funny, at first I didn’t like it. I thought it would dry out too fast, so I only used it twice. I decided to give it another try recently and fell in love. It’s a deep black liner, which I adore, and it stays well! I love that it smoothly glides over ALL textures of eyeshadow, glitter, false eyelashes, everything! I love the application, it’s not too stiff, and it’s not too flimsy, giving you a pretty accurate line. I learned the trick to help the liner not dry out- I shake my pen consistently before use, and if the line lightens while I’m applying, I simply blot it on a piece of tissue a couple of times and return to lining my eye. Tattoo liner has hands down grown to be one of my top eyeliners!
Cost: $20
