Marcus Trufant tackles PMS.
The joys of being a woman. Ladies, if you thought my “Motherhood” blog united us, today’s blog will take the cake! We not only share a common bond in motherhood, but we also share something special, a reminder of what makes us women. An annoying occurrence that pops up every month. For some of us, this nuisance wrecks havoc on our lives for about two weeks. The nuisance is none other than… our MENSTRUAL CYCLE! Why did I say we are plagued for two weeks? At least for me, the week before my cycle, I’m liable to take someone out. I consistently have to apologize for my emotions and behaviors, and I appear with the stomach and cravings of a pregnant woman.
I’m gonna keep it real when I say that my husband usually gets the brunt of my PMS, (ladies, don’t act like you don’t feel me). He’s always there at the right/wrong time and becomes a sacrificial punching bag. He usually doesn’t see it coming and for about a week straight, once a month he is blindsided with my aches, pains, bloating and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde mood swings. Ha! I try to explain to him that my “crazy” is not on purpose, it’s the hormones! I’m not quite sure if he understands what I mean, because he has made some comments that lead me to believe that he has NO CLUE how REAL PMS is.
What better way to find out how much Marcus knows, than to interview him and get his perspective on PMS. Ladies, PLEASE ask your significant other these same questions and let me know how it goes!
