Spin is ping pong with a twist!
I was looking to do something different this past weekend, and I remembered my friend talking about a new ping pong place in Seattle, called “SPIN.” My husband, a few friends, and I decided to check it out. I’d like to give you my thoughts on this place, in case you’re interested!
Atmosphere: The atmosphere was super chill, and the decor had a real authentic downtown feel. Every corner had a photo opportunity and you know I love me a good selfie! As you can see, I found my money spot as soon as I walked in! The staff is friendly, there is a nice sized bar, and the best part was the live DJ spinning the cuts! Everyone was lounging, eating and having a great time playing ping pong.
The service: Not sure if it was an off night, but we didn’t have the best service. A busser took our order because our server was too busy. But, that busser tried his hardest, was super friendly, and got our orders in correctly!
Food: If you’re looking for good food, this is for sure not the place. The food was okay, but nothing wowed me. Everything has an Asian flair, which is awesome, but everything we ordered fell a little short. I’ll stick to fries next time I go.
The Game: Ping pong was a blast! One cool thing is once you lose a ball, there is a basket of balls right next to you to keep the party going! The music was bumping, and I was dancing and getting my butt kicked in ping pong!
WATCH OUT FOR FLYING BALLS! The ping pong tables are relatively close together and behind the tables are the eating tables. An eating table near a ping pong table results in balls flying toward your table. I think I got hit six times from several different angles! Depending on where you sit, you can close a see-through curtain to prevent balls from flying toward your table, but this wasn’t the case for all tables.
Would I go back? YES! All-in-all, we had a great time! If you don’t play ping pong, it’s still a fun place to just to go and hang. If you’re looking for a fun place, I recommend trying it out! They also do private parties and give ping pong lessons!
