The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel & Resort
My family and I have been spending our spring break in Arizona for the past five years. We typically stay at the Marriott Desert Ridge, which is a fantastic property. This year, my friend who recently moved to Arizona RAVED about the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel & Resort and begged me to try it out. I don’t normally like to step out of my “hotel comfort zone,” but we decided to give the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel & Resort a try.
We are SO GLAD that we did. My family and I will NEVER be able to stay at another hotel!
The Five-Star property was stunning and immaculate. There was not one tree that was unkept or one flower out of order; the groundskeepers were always walking around, making sure everything was clean and in order. I can appreciate this after staying at some of the nicer hotels around the world, and noticing that some were lacking in the maintenance department.
The rooms were lovely. Our rooms were spacious, clean and had a HUGE WALK-IN CLOSET (enough said). There is 24-hour room service and not to mention, the food is good too!
Customer service was fantastic. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with a smile. The employees were always willing to help and were on top of all our requests. They were beyond accommodating and as a mother with five kids, sometimes a smile from the staff makes all the difference in the world.
Golf cart service. The Fairmont property is HUGE, (65 acres to be exact, including the golf course). Because of its size, there was a golf cart service available. All you had to do was call, and someone would be at your door ready to whisk you away anywhere on the property. I, of course, took FULL advantage of this, ha!
There are four beautiful pools. My kid’s favorite part about the Fairmont was being able to swim at any given time (They have a pool that is open 24-7!) Our favorite pool was the hotel’s newest pool, called “Sunset Beach.” This pool is gigantic! They wanted to give you the ultimate beach experience, and they succeed at doing just that! How, you ask? There is also a sand area, with sand imported from Florida! How cool is that?
All the restaurants on the property were fantastic! On the first night, we ate at La Hacienda. So let me tell you, I ate so many appetizers that I didn’t even have to order a main course. Next time, and I learned my lesson, I will be sure to save room for dinner! Unfortunately, we didn’t have an opportunity to dine at their award-winning steakhouse, but there is always next time! My kids dined at the Ironwood American Kitchen and gave their lunch ten thumbs up!
Well & Being Spa. I am truly kicking myself for not discovering the spa sooner. The architecture was incredible and the feeling inside the spa was like that of a real oasis. The lounge, the Jacuzzi, and the service were all phenomenal! I didn’t get a chance to take advantage of their spa’s custom outdoor pool, their eucalyptus calming room and so many other amenities. I did, however, have a “rejuvenating” facial that was to-die-for! On my next trip, I will make sure I take an entire day to bask in their glorious spa!
Spending six days at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel and Resort, was not nearly enough time to begin to enjoy all of it has to offer. It was perfect for my big family. The food, the pools, the customer service… was nothing was short of perfection. I HIGHLY recommend staying there next time you are visiting Scottsdale, Arizona. On our first day, after a few hours of being there, my oldest said to me, “Mommy, why haven’t we stayed here all these years?” That is a ringing endorsement for sure! I am sure she will never ask that question again, because we have found our new vacation home!
